Cacti Buddies
These little fellows have a little story of their own. After rescuing from being lost forever in a skip. I brought them back to life and created my little mexio cactus using eco friendly earthenware clay and fired into biscuit before hand painting them and being glazed. They come as a pair and ideally stick together which you can share with your best friend. Each one is hand painted with its own characteristic face. If you would like my pair of cacti and add to your collection of wierd and wonderful things then you can purchase from my etsy shop or email me.

Bark in the Park
Being a big softie for animals big and small, I always support the animal charities and the work they do to look after the abandoned furries. I have even been commissioned to paint portraits of pets as a keepsake. I was given an opportunity to take part in a charity event held by the RSPCA in Derby called Bark in the Park at Marketon park. It was a great event and I got to see all the lovely dogs attending with their owners. Having got together my display for the day, I thought I would take the opportunity to showcase other wares that included illustrated ceramic pet bowls.
It was lovely meeting everyone that stopped by my stall and hope you enjoyed the day. If you stopped by the stall and was interested in having a pet portrait or even an illustrated or personalised pet bowl drop me a message for all commissions.

Man Mug Collection
Whilst in the process of moving and working full time, I have tried to fit in as much art as I could over the last two months. Having a few events coming up and thinking about fathers day, I thought it be nice to cater for the men and give them something to have and to hold. The ideas started following and I got creating...
Busy in the studio, I have been hand painting a new range of tankard mugs for the male species with illustrated designs great for father's day or any other occasion. I also cater for personalised designs, so if you have anything in mind and would like to contact me to create something unique and personal just email me on the below address:
bearinminddesign@gmail.com
Each mug holds half a pint of tea, coffee and even beer. Not all at once of course :) If you would like to order in time for father's day or have a birthday coming up for the hubby, boyfriend, brother, uncle or granddad then get in touch. All orders are gift wrapped :)

Illustrations on Ceramics
Having been inspired from a trip down to Brighton, I took photos and I have been sketching in my sketch book. Since then I have been working on putting these images together to create some interesting designs inspired by Brighton and an old retro tattoo style.
This week, I have been experimenting with ceramics, drawing my illustrations on to earthenware and hand decorating. The items are now in the kiln being fired. Here are the pictures so far of the progress :)
If anyone is interested in these limited edition pieces then please get in touch.
